Microsquirt or the like?

Not offhand. Microsquirt is nice/small but MS3 adds SD card datalogging which makes things easier if you can't tune while you roll.

I'm probably going to do that this summer on my '71 CB750, but I'm pretty sure I'm just going to use a regular megasquirt, because I'm WAY too cheap to pay the extra $200 for the microsquirt, and I'm pretty sure I can find the room for the regular megaquirt.

I'm so cheap I had to become a beta tester to afford the upgrades!!

Not sure how easy/hard it is to tune a bike without logging.

I kinda-sorta know a guy who's done two bikes, and I'm pretty sure he just bungee corded his lap top to the back seat and rode a around to data log, then went back and made adjustments from there.
